Author & Illustrator Presentations That Sing
Christopher Award-winning author and illustrator Patricia Keeler offers engaging school and library visits designed to inspire students and support classroom learning. Joined by special guest, songwriter and musician Elena Skye, Patricia creates an interactive program through storytelling, music, movement, and student participation. Patricia and Elena encourage young learners to see creativity as a joyful part of reading, writing, and self-expression.
Schools and libraries can choose between two lively talks: one based on Patricia’s picture book Scoop the Ice Cream Truck: A Sweet Summer of Change, and the other based on her book Drumbeat in Our Feet, which features African culture, songs, and dances.
Patricia Keeler and Elena Skye hold 45 minute interactive assemblies.
The number of assemblies may vary by school.
